I love finding little gems like Palm Coast.  The Life By Design Network loves to spend time there as we enjoy sites in the European Villages, walk along secluded beaches, enjoy the lush parks, or boat through the waterways with family and friends.

One restaurant we really enjoyed was Element Indian Cuisine in the European Village.  It was a relaxed atmosphere where even our older travelers who aren't experienced with Indian foods found gastric delights that layered our palates with unique flavors that increased in flavor throughout the dinner.  From there we found some really cute gifts at Village Jewelry and Turtle Reef Clothing, and had time to enjoy some drinks and great conversation at Farley's Irish Pub.   We met a few travel bloggers from different countries who were staying in the rentals above the shops as they trekked through Palm Coast, filming "can't miss this" items for their followers.

There are several quiet beaches in Palm Coast where we found ample parking, walked off our dinners, and enjoyed beautiful sunsets.  One evening we ate along the coast so we could watch the shuttle take off from Port Canaveral and had an absolute perfect view and a roaring good time at Oceanside Bar & Grill.

Washington Oaks Garden State Park is absolutely beautiful, and has ample room along the inlet to picnic while you watch boats pass by.  It's very scenic, but you can't swim from there, so if you're looking to get in the ocean, I recommend going to Beverly Beach which boasts a peaceful escape that shell collectors and sun bathers can relish while still being close to town.  Varn Park also has paved parking lots, beach access, and is frequented by bird watchers.

Palm Coast is a little get-a-way that we seem to return to every other year or so.  It's peaceful and budget friendly if you plan well.
