Unforgettable Costa Rican Tortuga Island

Not long ago I enjoyed an unforgettable multi-generational trip to Costa Rica! The spectacular view of the mountains, many of which have volcanoes, was absolutely breathtaking.

While it might take you a little bit to get comfortable with driving there, (traffic laws appear to be more of a recommendation than being strictly enforced), it's easy to get from the mountains, to the rain forest and then down to the beaches.

The week flew by as we enjoyed a wide array of activities. We lounged in the warm pools amidst the Arenal Water Falls, where a waitress swam over to our submerged spa loungers with our food and drink orders. We saw sloths in their natural habitats and encountered amazing wildlife in the rain forest. For the adventurous, ziplining was a thrilling experience!

We took an excursion to Tortuga Island where we squeeled with delight as the Banana Boats whipped us around and threw us into the water.  We picnicked on a private island that had some unique wildlife around.  When we got back on the boat we were amazed to see whales playing with their calves in the water near out boat.  We rounded out our week with serene walks on the beaches, enjoying incredible sunsets. Can't wait for our next adventure! #FamilyTravel #CostaRicaAdventures #NatureLovers #GroupTravel.
